Our Products

MSP provides the full complement of production equipment and control systems used to manufacture roofing shingles and similar converting line products. We also design and offer complete solutions for coordinated line drives, power conditioning, motion control, process control, mixing system control and material handling systems. We can provide individual key machine components of a system, or complete ‘turnkey’ offerings, from concept to production run. Our equipment and systems are running in many industries: asphalt shingle production, food and beverage, electric power, warehouse automation, machine tools, agricultural, wood & pulp board, steel & aluminum, wire & cable, and packaging and palletizing.

Engineering Services

MSP provides expertise in the electrical controls and mechanical engineering disciplines. We can offer Cost Justifications, Formal Engineering Studies, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Site & Equipment Evaluations for existing and new manufacturing systems. We are expert in coordinated line drive control systems with experience in process controls, both continuous flow and batch mixing.

New Equipment

MSP provides the full complement of equipment and controls required to manufacture asphalt roofing shingles, both architectural (laminate) and 3-tab. We also provide ancillary equipment for the manufacture and packaging of roll roofing and modified bitumen (mod-bit) roofing products.

With Protech Automation we provide control panel systems for many production industries. We operate a UL 508A certified production shop and can build from our own or customer-supplied designs.

Machine Design

Our experienced machine engineering group can execute custom designs to suit our customers’ individual manufacturing requirements. By keeping our mechanical and electrical engineering teams in close proximity to each other within our corporate office, we are able to implement integrated, unified system designs that complement the best of both disciplines.

Machine Upgrades

We offer the expertise necessary to help our customers evaluate their existing production systems.
We focus on helping them improve their plants’ productivity by developing upgrades which improve production speeds and product quality while reducing maintenance, energy consumption and downtime.

Panel Design

Through our Protech Automation brand, we specialize in system integration, control panel designs and fabrications. Whether that be a simple Operator Interface Cabinet, a PLC Control Enclosure or a complete drive system, each is executed by experienced panel technicians who are well versed in control panel design. Further, we can leverage our extensive network of component suppliers to provide our customers with the fastest, most economical means of acquiring their critical commercial control devices.

Replacement Parts and Spares

MSP supplies critical custom replacement parts to keep our customers’ systems running at maximum productivity. We keep specific wear parts in stock and design our systems to minimize our customers’ inventory requirements.
