The Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (CCDC AvMC) is the Army’s focal point for providing research, development, and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms.  Our mission is to deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development and life cycle engineering solutions. AvMC is a world-class organization with approximately 3,000 government civilian employees, more than 2,000 of which are engineers and scientists.  

CCDC AvMC is located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.  Huntsville is high-tech city that is routinely rated by multiple sources as one of top places to live in the United States.  It is located between the edge of the Appalachian Mountains in North Alabama and the Tennessee River. The area has one of the largest research parks in the U.S. and the technical community has access to undergraduate and graduate curricula of several excellent engineering universities.
