About
Ohio University Division of Physical Therapy (OUPT) is a leader in physical therapy education and innovation. OUPT was the first Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Ohio and is currently ranked among the Top 50 programs in the United States by US News and World Report.
Our three-year curriculum integrates didactic, laboratory and clinical components throughout the program of study. Learning opportunities are structured in a hybrid format, including an evidence-based approach to traditional, case-based and problem-solving activities. Students also gain experience in advanced manual therapy techniques and vestibular rehabilitation and are also provided the opportunity to select advanced elective learning in topics such as neurologic rehabilitation, sports medicine and pediatrics.
Graduates of our program have a 100% first-time passing rate in 2006, 2008-2012 and 2014-2017 on the NPTE and report 100% job placement upon graduation.
