Thank you for your interest in graduate programs in Bioengineering at the Temple University College of Engineering. Temple's graduate programs in engineering provide students with rigorous academic training, the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research, and access to top-notch faculty committed to teaching and mentoring.
The MS and PhD programs in Bioengineering provide interdisciplinary education and research opportunities in bioengineering and engineering applications in related healthcare fields. The MS in Bioengineering offers flexible learning options in which you can earn your degree through full or part-time study with a thesis, project or coursework-only track. Students in the PhD program have the opportunity to develop a highly specialized plan of study to hone and explore their research interests in the following areas:
• Biomaterials• Imaging and Optical Spectroscopy
• Injury Biomechanics
• Neuroengineering
• Neuromechanics of Locomotion
• Tissue and Regenerative Engineering
• Stem and Cancer Cell Engineering
• Targeted Drug Delivery
• Computer Modeling
Both MS and PhD students will have the opportunity to collaborate with Temple faculty in the College of Science and Technology, Lewis Katz School of Medicine, School of Podiatric Medicine, School of Pharmacy, Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, Fox Chase Cancer Center and the College of Public Health. Research is funded through grants from agencies such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association and the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
