At TouroCOM, technological innovation meets social responsibility, and a cutting-edge curriculum goes hand in hand with community outreach.
Since opening our doors in 2007, the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine has been attracting students and training physicians who are committed to helping their patients and the medical profession. TouroCOM is equally committed to working to correct diversity disparities in our health care delivery system, so physicians can best meet patient needs.
The genuine desire to help people carries over into the way we interact as a community. The warmth and caring for each other is palpable as you walk our halls, study in our library, or join with fellow students for a 5K run for peace.
Leaders in Education
Our medical curriculum is one of the first of its kind to take full advantage of today’s medical and classroom technologies. Ours is a flipped classroom that allows students to learn the material at home and for professors to track the students’ grasp of the material in class. Better assessment means better outcomes, and our graduates find residencies and placements at top hospitals across the country.
Partners in the Community
80% of our hospital affiliates target underserved communities in both rural and urban areas. And our studentsare active advocates and outreach coordinators from Harlem and the Hudson Valley to Haiti and beyond.
Pioneers in Health Care
Our professors are accomplished practitioners and researchers of osteopathic medicine. With access to newly constructed facilities and labs, faculty members are encouraged to pursue their own projects, many of which will change the lives of patients everywhere.
We are committed to carrying out our mission to heal people and communities, not just treat symptoms.
Our Facilities
Located in Harlem and Middletown, with a brand new campus opening in Great Falls, MT (fall 2023), our campuses are more than a collection of technologically-advanced classrooms and laboratories. They are where our professors pursue their life’s work and students begin their careers. It’s our home.
All campuses boast impressive facilities and offer state-of-the-art medical education.
