Western New England University is located in a residential section of Springfield, MA, enrolling over 3,800 students. The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is a four-year program that fosters critical thinking skills; embraces professionalism; and instills a commitment to lifelong learning, community service, and leadership. PharmD candidates have the option to pursue a dual degree program earning either the MBA or MS in Organizational Leadership though the University’s AACSB Internationally accredited College of Business.
Outstanding Preparation for the NAPLEX Exam
The WNE PharmD Class of 2019 earned the highest first-time pass rate (91.4%) in the state of Massachusetts, and the second highest in the New England region on the NAPLEX Exam. Our graduates also achieved the highest in-state first-time pass rate for the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) law exam.
WNE is No. 2 in US for Post-grad Residency Match Rate
When it comes to landing highly competitive 1-year or 2-year postgraduate pharmacy practice residency opportunities, the Class of 2020 ranked second best in the nation for postgraduate residency program match rate. Members of the class achieved an 82.4% Phase I match rate among candidates for postgraduate pharmacy residency programs, the highest match rate in the New England region and second nationally only to the University of California – San Francisco.
