Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) School of Pharmacy is the only pharmacy school in Wisconsin to offer an accelerated three-year Doctor of Pharmacy program at a premier academic medical center.

Clinical Rotations at an Academic Medical Center
The MCW School of Pharmacy is located on an academic medical center, the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus. This means students can take the skywalk from their classroom to Froedtert Hospital (a Level I trauma center) and Children’s Wisconsin, providing access to valuable clinical rotation experiences and world-class research opportunities.
- Weekly clinical rotations begin in the first quarter
- 1st and 2nd year students: Classes Monday-Thursday and rotations every Friday, allowing you to consistently reinforce skills in a variety of real-life practice settings
- 3rd year students: immersed in the practice setting full time
Overall, the MCW School of Pharmacy has partnerships with more than 500 pharmacy practice sites around the state, and the Office of Experiential Education meets individually with each student to match them with practice sites that align with their career interests.
“I appreciated the fact that MCW has a working relationship with both Froedtert Hospital and Children’s, which allows students lots of experiences that people at other schools would have to seek out individually.”
