Cargill Limited is one of Canada’s largest merchandisers and processors. Our interests include the processing of beef, poultry, malt and oilseed, and the manufacturing of livestock feed. In addition, we are involved in crop input product retailing, as well as grain handling, milling, salt distribution and merchandising.

CASC:

Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain. We help our customers compete in the global market and efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading, consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions.  CASC NA business reaches across Canada, United States & Mexico with an expansive asset footprint including over 200 grain elevators, export/import facilities, oilseed crush plants, biodiesel facilities, and farm service centers.

CVAP:

Cargill is a large and reputable food company with operations around the world.  Cargill Value Added Protein operates a chicken processing plant in London, Ontario and a hatchery in Jarvis, Ontario.  The processing plant employs approximately 900 employees and processes 85,000 chickens each day.  The hatchery has approximately 70 employees and, on average, produces 150,000 chicks per day.  Cargill Value Added Protein operates ground beef processing facilities in Brampton, Ontario and Spruce Grove, Alberta employing approximately 130 employees.

CARGILL PROTEIN & SALT:

Cargill operates five Canadian facilities located in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec. In Alberta, the High River plant is a fully integrated beef processing facility where over 2,300 employees process 4500 head of cattle per day, and the Calgary Case Ready facility has over 350 employees serving national retailers and food service customers. In Ontario, the fully integrated Guelph beef facility employs over 820 employees and processes 1,800 head of cattle per day, while the Guelph Case Ready facility has over 600 employees. In Quebec, the Chambly Case Ready facility has over 500 employees serving national retailers and food service customers.
