Welcome to the Inaugural NCOPE Virtual Career Fair

We are pleased to offer the Orthotic and Prosthetic Virtual Career Fair, free event on Wednesday 9/27/2017 from 9:00 until 5:00 EDT.  The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) will be hosting this event to provide free resources from industry experts to jump start technician and masters level students transitioning from school and residency into their O & P careers*.  Prospective employers and residency sites are also welcome to join us in the afternoon to share opportunities and that their facilities offer.  The Orthotic and Prosthetic Virtual Career Fair is being delivered via the Career Eco platform which enables real-time interaction between the attendees and is accessible anywhere with a broadband internet connection.

Educational Topics will be covered throughout the morning, with focused career development sessions offered in the afternoon.  

Educational topics will include: 

  • Career development resources including cover letters, resumes and interviewing skills
  • Introductions to NCOPE, ABC, AOPA and the Academy and their role for young O&P professionals
  • Legal and regulatory issues including non-compete agreements, state licensing and supervision
  • Residency roles and responsibilities 
  • Career settings round table discussions for practitioners to share their experiences working for manufacturers, clinical practices and other venues
  • Interactions with prospective residency sites and employers in a comfortable group setting
