About

Dr. Billie Doris McAda Graduate School at Midwestern State University

Founded in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College, Midwestern State University has become a four-year liberal arts university with over 6,000 students. Beautifully bricked buildings and sculpted archways give the campus a classic collegiate feel, while three residence halls and two apartment complexes house students on campus.

Students can choose from 49 undergraduate majors and 25 graduate programs, and MSU offers the individual attention of a private education and the affordability and vibrant energy of a public university. With a 17:1 student-faculty ratio, students gain the confidence to succeed through mentoring from professors and challenge from their peers.

MSU’s 100+ student organizations include academic societies, special-interest clubs, honor societies, and nationally affiliated fraternities and sororities. Students attend athletic events and enjoy sponsored entertainment like nationally known speakers, comedians, and musicians. In December, the campus hosts more than 200,000 visitors for the spectacular MSU-Burns Fantasy of Lights holiday display, and the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU attracts visitors year-round.
