From this rich tradition, the College of Pharmacy has developed an outstanding international reputation.

  • Instruction is available at two locations:
    • Three-quarters of students enroll at the Chicago campus, located in the Illinois Medical District, the nation’s largest concentration of public and private healthcare facilities.
    • One-fourth of students enroll at the Rockford Health Science Campus, an inter-professional, graduate-level campus situated among smaller, community-centered healthcare organizations within a suburban setting.
  • The following joint degrees may be pursued: PharmD/MBA and PharmD/PhD.
  • The concentration in rural pharmacy services (RPHARM) is offered at Rockford campus.
  • The concentration in urban pharmacy services (UPHARM) is offered at Chicago campus.
  • Aside from the degree programs, a variety of residencies and fellowships are available, including nine accredited PharmD PGY2 residency areas.

Terry Moore, PhD

Associate Professor & Director of Graduate Studies, Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Terry Moore, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, thoroughly enjoys the work he does with students in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois Chicago.  When asked about his work, Dr. Moore stated, "I really enjoy being on the faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the UIC College of Pharmacy.  The environment is collaborative and collegial, my colleagues are world-class scholars and teachers, and we are able to recruit outstanding students.  And I love living and working in Chicago!"  Dr. Moore is a synthetic medicinal chemist with an interest in developing small molecules and peptides to inhibit protein-protein interactions.
