About

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center is a 112-bed, acute-care hospital with an affiliated network of physician practices equipped to serve Baldwin County. A dedicated and experienced medical staff offers over 32 medical specialties and the hospital offers services ranging from Baldwin County’s only Primary Stroke Center, as well as Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Centers, a Women’s Imaging Center featuring 3D HD Mammography, orthopaedic center for joint replacement and fracture care, 24-hour emergency department and a 24-hour urgent care & imaging center in Gulf Shores. 

 

The hospital has received numerous awards and recognition, including 5-Star rating by CMS, a continuous ‘A’ Safety Grade by Leapfrog Group, Top 9 Hospitals for Infection Prevention by Consumer Reports, American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines Gold and Silver awards, and The Joint Commission’s Top Performer on Key Quality Measures.

  • Adult Medicine – 12 weeks
  • Community Medicine – 4 weeks
  • Elective – 4 weeks
  • ER – 4 weeks
  • General Surgery – 4 weeks
  • Obstetrics – 4 weeks
  • Orientation/Clinic – 4 weeks
  • Ortho/Sports Medicine – 4 weeks
  • Pediatric Outpatient – 4 weeks
  • QI – 4 weeks
  • Urgent Care – 4 weeks

 

PGY2

  • Adult Medicine – 8 weeks
  • Cardiology – 4 weeks
  • Community Medicine – 4 weeks
  • Critical Care – 4 weeks
  • Elective – 4 weeks
  • ER – 4 weeks
  • Gynecology – 4 weeks
  • Night Float – 4 weeks
  • Obstetrics – 4 weeks
  • Pediatric ER – 4 weeks
  • Pediatric Outpatient – 4 weeks
  • Radiology – 4 weeks

 

PGY3

  • Adult Medicine – 4 weeks
  • Dermatology – 4 weeks
  • Electives – 12 weeks
  • ENT – 2 weeks, Wound Care – 2 weeks
  • Geriatrics – 4 weeks
  • Management of Health Systems – 4 weeks
  • Night Float – 8 weeks
  • Ortho/Sports Medicine – 4 weeks
  • Pediatric Inpatients – 4 weeks
  • Pediatric Newborn & NICU – 4 weeks
