The UIC Department of Occupational Therapy was founded more than 70 years ago, making it one of the oldest and most respected programs in the country. Throughout its history, the department has been a leader in the profession:
- Ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the top graduate program in occupational therapy at a public university; ranked fourth among all universities nationwide
- Only department in Illinois offering the MS, OTD and PhD programs for occupational therapists
