About

Inspired by Loyola's Jesuit tradition of justice and freedom of inquiry, the Loyola University Chicago Public Health program is designed to prepare the student to advance the quality and accessibility of health care by bridging service gaps that exist along racial and economic lines. Our goal is to create leaders in order to meet these challenges by offering online and in-person, career-oriented concentrations, taught through multiple departments and institutes of Loyola's top-ranked university system, including: the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health (our academic home), the Stritch School of Medicine, the School of Law, the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. Faculty and students come from a variety of backgrounds and religious traditions, and all are committed to the Jesuit heritage of promoting social justice.  We offer MPH degrees in Epidemiology, Global Health Equity, and Public Health Policy and Management as well as a BSPH in Public Health, a Public Health Certificate (4 courses), and MD/MPH, an MSW/MPH, and a 4+1 year BS/MPH in Environmental Science or Health Systems Management.
