Master of Athletic Training
The Athletic Training program at Campbell University supports the mission of the University and the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS), in which the program is housed. The mission of the University is to “graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills who are prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service.” The Athletic Training program will prepare students to become athletic trainers. Emphasis is placed on preparing students with a traditional science background to be service-minded healthcare providers.

The Campbell University Master of Athletic Training degree is a full-time, two-year program (64 credit hours) that provides a didactic and clinical education preparing students for a career as an Athletic Trainer.
The student-centered curriculum focuses on preparing the student to be a competent clinician that works inter-professionally with other health care providers to provide the best patient care. Students who complete the program will be eligible candidates for the Board of Certification Exam.

MAT Admissions
The process of admission will be a joint collaborative effort with the CPHS Admissions Office. Acceptance into the Athletic Training program is based on the overall record and ability of the applicant. Applicants are only considered for summer enrollment due to the curriculum sequences of the program.
Application Cycle
Application Cycle Begins: Late June
Application Deadline: January 1
The application cycle for the Athletic Training program begins each year in late June and the application deadline is January 1. Applicants are selected using a modified rolling admission procedure. Under this system, qualified applicants are admitted into the Athletic Training program on an ongoing basis until the class is filled. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit all required admission documents early in the admission cycle to maximize their admissions potential.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
The Campbell University Department of Physical Therapy Program’s mission is to graduate doctors of physical therapy who deliver compassionate, patient-centered care from a service-oriented, Christian guided view, with a special emphasis on rural healthcare environments.

Master of Physician Assistant Practice
The physician assistant (PA) degree is consistently
Campbell University’s Physician Assistant (PA) Program endeavors to meet the future needs of the PA profession and its role in the healthcare delivery system throughout the continuum of care. The program promotes patient-centered, evidence-based medicine preparing students to be competent healthcare providers.

PA/MS Public Health Dual Degree
This additional one-year program provides 32 credit hours of public health courses. Students will spend their first year completing the MS in Public Health (MSPH) coursework (including fall, spring and summer semesters). The year as an MSPH student will be solely devoted to public health curriculum.
The following year, students enter the Physician Assistant (PA) Program to complete the required 28-month PA curriculum, in addition to their MSPH research project.
PA/MS Clinical Research Online Dual Degree
This additional one-year program provides credit hours of clinical research online courses. Students will spend their first year completing the MS in Clinical Research Online (MSCR) coursework (beginning in summer). The year as an MSCR online student will be solely devoted to clinical research curriculum.
The following year, students enter the Physician Assistant (PA) Program to complete the required 28-month PA curriculum, in addition to their MSCR research project.
MS Pharmaceutical Sciences

MS Clinical Research Online
The MS in Clinical Research curriculum provides students with an in-depth understanding of producing and interpreting medical evidence in a variety of practice settings. Students can enroll full-time to complete the program in two years; or, choose a part-time option.

MS Public Health
The Master of Science in Public Health degree provides students with a solid foundation in health care research and outcomes evaluation. The program focuses on the promotion of health and prevention of disease, rural health care research, community outreach
