Camp Nashoba North is a traditional, all-gender, overnight summer camp for children. We are located in the Sebago Lakes region of Southern Maine, about 40 minutes from Portland and about 2 hours from Boston, MA. 

Each summer, Camp Nashoba North provides a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience for children aged 7-15, with some additional programs for older teens. Our mission is to help facilitate the development of independent life skills and exploration of identity amongst our campers. To accomplish these goals, campers have near complete control in their weekly activity schedule by signing up for their own activities every Sunday. This allows our campers to both try new activities they may have never experienced, while also having the opportunity to continue building skills in things they already love. 

Our staff is comprised primarily of young adults (mostly 18-25) with a skill or passion for one or more of our program areas at camp. We provide at least 10 days of training prior to the arrival of campers to ensure that all of our staff members, both counselors and support staff, have an opportunity to build their childcare toolbox through discussion with industry professionals. In addition to guest speakers, staff members will have the opportunity to actually practice teaching and/or working in their primary position throughout the course of staff training, to ensure everyone is comfortable and confident once campers arrive.
