Center for Faith and Health--Service at Home and Abroad

As a pharmacy school, we prepare students with the skills and knowledge they need to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings. But it is essential that we do more than educate pharmacists. We must put the great depth of knowledge and experience in our faculty, staff and students to work making the lives of people better, here at home and in communities around the world. That is the role of the Center for Faith and Health.

The Center unites the four schools in the College of Health Sciences. It provides a critical link between our academic programs and the communities we serve.  It is a model for interprofessional collaboration that reflects the growing team orientation of modern health care practice.

International Experiences

Because advances in pharmaceutical science impact people on a global scale we provide you with a number of opportunities to experience the industry from an international perspective. We have formal affiliations with academic institutions or hospitals in 10 countries where you can pursue study abroad and other opportunities: China, Great Britain, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Zambia.

Research

Research is a critical function of our school, as the work of our faculty and staff pushes the limits of our knowledge. There are multiple opportunities for you to become actively involved in research, including research electives as part of the curriculum, participating in the summer research internship program, or as part of your senior Capstone research project.
