UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy is one college on two campuses, Chicago and Rockford. Established in 1859, we are one of the top ranked college of pharmacies in the Nation and the 5th oldest college of pharmacy. - Instruction is available at two locations:
- Three-quarters of students enroll at the Chicago campus, located in the Illinois Medical District, the nation’s largest concentration of public and private healthcare facilities.
- One-fourth of students enroll at the Rockford Health Science Campus, an inter-professional, graduate-level campus situated among smaller, community-centered healthcare organizations within a suburban setting.
- The following joint degrees may be pursued: PharmD/MBA and PharmD/PhD.
- The concentration in rural pharmacy services (RPHARM) is offered at Rockford campus.
- The concentration in urban pharmacy services (UPHARM) is offered at Chicago campus.

- Aside from the degree programs, a variety of residencies and fellowships are available, including nine accredited PharmD PGY2 residency areas.

Key Faculty
Dr Heidi Olson
Heidi Olson is a PharmD and residency-trained pharmacist that was born and raised in rural Northern Illinois. Pharmacists that work in rural communities are often the first point of contact for patients seeking medical advice. This means that we, as pharmacists, can have a large impact on the overall health and well-being of those rural communities. Heidi has been with the UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy for 12 years and is currently the Director of the Rural Pharmacy Education (RPHARM) Program, a clinical assistant professor, and a clinical pharmacist.
