At Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, we’re driven to discover everything that’s achievable through science. To turn curiosity into solutions. To advance the future of healthcare and medicine.
The ACPHS experience is one that combines quality academics, experiential learning, personalized attention, and a strong emphasis on service – all of which help our students grow personally and develop into talented and trusted professionals. The academic experience at the College is complemented by numerous community service initiatives, including student-led Community Health Days and Wellness Fairs. Additionally, students at our Vermont Campus can obtain their pharmacy intern permit at the very beginning of pharmacy school – allowing students to get to work earlier than in other states. For students at our Albany Campus, our two student-operated pharmacies are the perfect opportunity to get the real-world experience needed to succeed after graduation. All our academic programs provide excellent preparation for graduates to seek employment, continue to a Ph.D., or explore professional and medical school opportunities.
Programs
Campuses
Vermont Campus (Colchester, VT): We opened our Vermont campus— the first and only school of pharmacy in the state— because we sensed a need in the region, and we saw great opportunities for our students. Today, we are a diverse family of scholars expanding the next frontier of human health and exploring the future of pharmacy. Since all students arrive having completed two to four years of college, there’s a level of maturity here that elevates the experience for everyone. Thanks to our faculty and an established network of pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals, our students learn firsthand how pharmacists are playing an expanded and vital role in health care – all while exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us. With awe-inspiring 360-degree views, our intimate campus is equipped with the labs, classrooms, study spaces, and resources you need to realize your full potential.
New York Campus (Albany, NY): Nestled in the capital of New York State, our 25-acre campus features modern labs, a recently renovated library, a turf field and track, and an inviting student center with plenty of space to socialize or study. Two-thirds of our students live right on campus, and since our academic programs are all based on the advancement of human health, you’ll be assured of sharing your college experiences with a community of like-minded individuals. This community setting is enhanced by a broad range of activities to help balance life inside and outside of the classroom. Play sports, join one of our dozens of clubs and organizations, or head into Albany for a mix of fashion, food, music, and theatre.
