About

The D'Youville School of Pharmacy is located on an urban campus close to downtown Buffalo, the vibrant canal-side, and the Peace Bridge which links the United States and Canada. Our state-of-the-art Pharmacy Building boasts stunning views of the Buffalo skyline and Niagara Falls.
Our program is designed to prepare students to practice in an inter-professional patient-centered environment where pharmacists are responsible for assisting patients in managing their medication regimens. Graduates of the program will be taught to communicate effectively with patients and other health care practitioners, to solve problems related to drug therapy regimens, and to develop and evaluate programs to improve the health of the communities they serve.

The D'Youville School of Pharmacy offers a mix of didactic and small group learning opportunities where students and faculty work together to ensure topics are explored from multiple perspectives. Our unique school calendar grants a 2-week break mid-semester which allows students to fully immerse themselves within their pharmacy rotation. Since classes are not held during rotations, students are afforded the opportunity to participate in both U.S. and International IPPE and APPE rotations starting in the First Professional year of study.

The emphasis on D'Youville's mission of leadership and service to the community is reflected in the pharmacy program. Students will practice leadership skills while working collaboratively with their colleagues and the faculty on problem sets, case analyses, and class and service projects. Through class exercises and practice experiences the new pharmacy program will teach students to care for patients and communities.

We are also pleased to now offer students the opportunity to obtain their Master's in Business Administration, Master's in Public Health and a Master's  in Health Services Administration while  completing the Doctor of Pharmacy program.  All programs are offered to pharmacy students at a discounted rate.

Doctor of Pharmacy applications for the D’Youville School of Pharmacy for the fall of 2019 are now being accepted via PharmCAS Application Services.
