We approach our scholarship with a determination to inform current educational practices, programs, and policies. We strive to imagine better futures, and work toward a society where a great and transformative public education is accessible to all—lifelong, lifewide; and where well-being, health, and prosperity are within everyone’s reach.

Our professional preparation programs educate teachers, principals, and school psychologists and counselors of the highest caliber. Our graduate programs prepare researchers and professionals who join the ranks of peer research universities and various educational enterprises. Equipped to succeed in their professions, our graduates emerge as leaders in their institutions and communities, and mindfully contribute toward continually improving and transforming them.
