About

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is committed to advancing One Health initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of animals, humans and the environment. The University’s leadership in both clinical and research settings reaches across disciplines, into the classroom, and out into the world.

Veterinary students play an integral role in the seven hospitals and clinics that comprise Cummings Veterinary Medical Center at Tufts University. From their first year onward, students gain valuable expertise and enjoy a rich clinical learning environment.

Students engage in a myriad of opportunities, including basic, translational and clinical research, shelter medicine, comparative oncology, wildlife and conservation medicine, the study of human-animal interactions, international veterinary medicine, regenerative medicine, and more. These opportunities create a campus without boundaries, offer unique learning experiences, and ultimately lead our graduates to exciting and fulfilling careers.

Cummings School also offers three master's degree programs which address emerging One Health challenges.  We train our graduates to collaborate across disciplines loxally, nationally, and globally to improve the health and well-being of people, animal, and the environment.

The three master's programs are:

MS in Animals and Public Policy

MS in Conservation Medicine

MS in Infectious Disease and Global Health
