The Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) offers a variety of master’s and doctoral degrees in the fields of education and psychology. Many of our programs are designed for the working professional with classes that meet during the evenings, online, and occasionally on weekends. Benefit Qualifications

• You served an aggregate period of 36 months in active duty after Sept. 10, 2001 You were honorably discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability and you served 30 continuous days after Sept. 10, 2001. You are a dependent eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill based on the service eligibility criteria listed above.

Tuition Benefits

• The program allows institutions to contribute an amount up to 50% of a veteran's unmet costs; the VA will match the amount. (The Yellow Ribbon Program is not available for active service member or spouses of an active service member.) Students who are 100% eligible for the post 9/11 GI bill will receive those benefits, and if their tuition and related charges (see above) exceed that amount, the difference will be covered by Pepperdine and the VA jointly under the provisions of the Yellow Ribbon Program. This ensures that eligible students will have their tuition and related fees covered. Pepperdine is proud to share that we do not have a limit on the number of Yellow Ribbon-eligible students we accept.

Criteria for Maintaining Benefits

• All students using VA benefits must make satisfactory progress toward their educational objectives. In general, unsatisfactory progress for veteran's benefits is considered attainment of less than a 2.0 grade point average for two consecutive terms (3.0 for graduate students). Students who withdraw from the university may have their benefits terminated as of the beginning of the term of withdrawal. If a student is dismissed for academic reasons, benefits will be terminated as of the date of dismissal. Students who have had their benefits terminated in this manner must be counseled by the Veterans Administration before their benefits will be restored. Students who fail to complete all courses attempted in a term will have their benefits adjusted. Students who withdraw from a course (or courses) in the middle of the term will have their benefits adjusted except in extenuating circumstances. In cases in which students do not return for the next term, benefits will be terminated on the ending date of the previous term.
