Comtech PST Corp. (CPST) designs, develops, and manufactures RF and Microwave solid-state high-power amplifiers. We serve a variety of domestic and international high technology markets including defense, wireless and satellite (EMI/EMC) communications, cellular instrumentation, electromagnetic compatibility testing, and medical testing systems. Our design and manufacturing strength rests with supporting high-quality, high-mix, and high-complexity amplifier requirements with experienced engineering talent solely dedicated to designing and developing RF and Microwave amplifiers. Located in Melville, NY, Comtech PST's facility is a modern, 46,000 square-foot structure that provides office space as well as engineering, assembly, test and customer service.

Experience And Background

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., the PST division was established in 1987 for the express purpose of designing and manufacturing High Power RF Amplifiers. Our engineering talent has participated in the major growth of this technology. This background in solid state amplifier design and development has provided CPST with experience in such diverse fields as Electronic Warfare, Electronic Attack systems, RADAR systems, TWT replacement, high power testing, satellite tracking systems, communication, EM/EMC testing, radio transmitters, boosters, and general laboratory testing. Our fully staffed engineering support group is always available to provide expert assistance for any of your special needs relating to design and application issues.

Comtech PST's focus on Galium Nitride (GaN) solid state amplifiers has led to the development of a versatile and highly reliable product line. Whether your needs include amplifier module building blocks, rack-mounted amplifier units, or complete amplifier systems, our standard and customized solid-state power amplifier products provide the flexible effective solution. Comtech PST Corp. offers solid-state power amplifiers in frequency ranges from 1 MHz through 18.0 GHz, with output power levels ranging from 5 watts to over 30 kW. Furthermore, the acquisitions of Hill Engineering Division and MPD product lines has enabled Comtech PST to better serve our customers, expanding the range of our products and expertise to include high power PIN-diode control devices and additional medical, military and satellite requirements.

Comtech PST Corp. originally received ISO 9001:2000 quality system certification in 1997, and upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 certification in April 2003. PRODUCT CATALOG

Class A Power Amplifier Modules - Highly linear PA Modules are available for operating frequencies from 20MHz to 3GHz, with output power from 2 watts to 50 watts at 1dB compression.   Class A Rack-Mountable Power Amplifiers - Models are available from 20MHz to 3GHz, with output power levels from 10 watts to 300 watts at 1dB compression. Digital interface is available as an option.   Class AB Linear Power Amplifier Modules - Utilizing Gallium Nitride (GaN) and LD-MOS transistor technology, these modules are available from 20MHz up to 6GHz, with output power from 10 watts to 200 watts at 1 dB compression.   Class AB Linear Rack-Mountable Power Amplifiers - Models are available for operating frequencies from 1.5MHz to 3GHz, with output power from 100 watts to multi-kilowatts at 1dB compression. Many options are available to meet your requirements.   Pulse Amplifiers - Available in both modular and rack-mountable configurations, amplifiers are available from 400MHz to 3.5GHz, peak power output up to 6.4kW. Custom designs are available for different frequency ranges and output powers.   Medical Products - The SSPA series of amplifiers operate in S-Band with power levels up to 300 watts (peak). Typical applications include oncology treatment, electronic pasteurization, and X-Ray cargo inspection.   Satellite Products - The Satcom series of airborne amplifiers operate over the INMARSAT frequency range of 1626.5 to 1660.5MHz. Their lightweight and compact size make them ideal for airborne applications where size and weight are essential.   Custom Amplifier Designs - While the standard products we offer are suitable for most applications, there are times when a custom design is required as a solution.
