Eligibility for the ABSN Program in New York
Our second-degree Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in New York is for motivated individuals who want to quickly transition into the field of nursing. The eligibility requirements for the program are as follows:
Before you can get started in the accelerated nursing program, you must first meet our prerequisite course requirements, which involve the completion of 6 classes in the areas of general education and natural science. Our Prerequisite Priority Program (PREP) makes it convenient for you to do so by offering these courses 100% online, even those with labs.
Another big advantage of taking your ABSN prerequisite courses through PREP is that you automatically become a Utica College nursing student with a reserved spot in the ABSN program for your target start date. However, this early admission is contingent upon you meeting all the specified requirements for our ABSN program and its accompanying prerequisite courses.
