We’re The Maschhoffs. In 1851, our ancestors came to Illinois and began a family farming tradition. Today, we are one of the largest family-owned hog farming networks in North America.  With our family farm partners across the Midwest, we raise enough hogs for U.S. packers and processors to feed 16 million consumers annually.

The Maschhoffs LLC , headquartered in Carlyle, Illinois, is one of the largest family-owned hog production networks in North America. The company is owned by 5^th generation family  members Dave Maschhoff and his wife Karen and Ken Maschhoff and his wife Julie.  The Maschhoffs partner with nearly 550 family farmers across the Midwest that we call our Production Partners.

The face of farming is changing. But, we believe it’s important to continue the history of family farming and maintain healthy rural economies. We know that farmers are America’s original environmentalists and we strive to ensure a safe environment for our families and neighbors. Our focus every day is to raise quality hogs humanely, responsibly in terms of our environment and efficiently.

Our commitment to doing things right doesn’t stop at the farm gate. We pride ourselves on community involvement and dedication as well. Whether serving on a school board or supporting local charitable organizations, there are many ways to make a difference outside of agriculture. The Maschhoffs are firm believers of giving back to the community and we support numerous local organizations in the communities where our employees live and work.
