Our school is one part of the "corridor of science," a complex of premier institutions extending along York Avenue between 65th and 72nd Streets on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Our unique neighborhood includes the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Sloan-Kettering Institute (the two institutions that administer the WCGS), New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and The Rockefeller University. Collectively, these institutions are a collaborative scientific hub of biomedical research, scholarship, training, and patient care. Students in the WCGS take advantage of the rich scientific collaborations among these institutions fostered by shared core facilities, projects and programs that connect laboratories and investigators, and a collegial spirit that capitalizes on the unique features of each part of the campus. Our urban campus of biomedical research spans the full spectrum of biomedicine from stem cell research to translational medicine and prepares our students for a future where science and medicine will become even more interconnected.

As you explore the School's web site, you will learn more about the seven PhD and four MS programs offered, and the greater than 250 faculty members who teach and mentor our trainees. Our faculty members are committed to training our students to be leaders of the next generation of basic and translational investigators. As our school is integrated with a top-notch medical school, the faculty and students are reminded regularly how their work will one day lead to advances in the treatment of human disease.
