Master of Computer Science Typical program length: 2 years Master of Applied Computer Science Dalhousie's Master of Applied Computer Science is a 16-month graduate degree that prepares students for dynamic careers in the software industry. Student develop their technical skills through core courses in systems, communications, and data management. They then apply what they have learnt in a paid industry internship, entrepreneurship workterm, or research project. The program is also open to students with a STEM undergraduate degree outside of computer science and engineering who complete a two term preparatory program in software development. Master of Health Informatics Our interdisciplinary Master of Health Informatics (MHI) program is designed with the vision of health as the focus and technology as the enabler. Our program offers training in analyzing the issues and then designing solutions to improve all aspects of health care, from the delivery of patient care to the promotion of healthy lives. Length of Program: 2 years Master of Electronic Commerce The Dalhousie Master of Electronic Commerce (MEC) is the first of its kind in Canada, and is the only Canadian e-commerce program to feature delivery though collaboration between three faculties. You can take courses in our Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Management, and Faculty of Law. With a Dal MEC, students are given broad knowledge, but also the chance to specialize in a field of their interest. The world of e-commerce, e-business and emerging technologies is constantly changing, and becoming faster. In the Master of Electronic Commerce program at Dalhousie, we equip students to tackle the challenges of change by looking deeper into the forces that shape technology markets. By developing an understanding of web technologies, e-business and internet law, Master of Electronic Commerce students develop unique insight that is rarely shared by others.
