Live Oak Veterinary Hospital is seeking an additional Associate to join our team.  We are offering a full-time position for a motivated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian.  We are currently looking to hire and mentor a DVM graduate with potential for growth.  The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, be friendly and work well with fellow team members.  

This position involves a flexible schedule working four 10 hour shifts weekly, including time for patient rounds, client communication, charting and meal breaks.  Responsibilities include: conducting outpatient wellness, sick and emergency exams; evaluating labs and radiographs; performing ultrasound studies, dental extractions, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.  Ability to learn how to: manage time skillfully; work independently; exercise good clinical judgment; provide supervisory support of technical staff; utilize diplomacy and tact in dealing with clients; educate clients on the importance of preventative care.  Our hospital places an emphasis on leveraging technical support staff which enables DVMs to focus on and perform that which doctors enjoy most, practicing medicine!
