The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is the world’s first cancer research institute and a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our graduate programs are in collaboration with the State University of New York at Buffalo. Students have the opportunity to choose among the laboratories of over 140 Roswell Park faculty members as major professors to guide research. The internationally-recognized scientists and world-class facilities at Roswell Park provide an outstanding training environment for graduate students. Because Roswell Park is a cancer research hospital, students have a wide spectrum of choices for their research focus, from the basic investigation of cancer mechanisms to translational/clinical research with direct relevance to disease treatment.
We offer M.S and Ph.D. programs in Cancer Sciences. All doctoral students are offered a stipend ($27,000 in 2018-19), a full tuition scholarship and health insurance. In addition, several merit-based Presidential Fellowships will be awarded with an annual supplement of $6,000 added to the standard stipend.
Information about Roswell Park graduate programs, the Institute and the University is available at www.roswellpark.edu/education, which includes a direct link to apply online. The final deadline for the receipt of doctoral applications is January 5. The MS program has an application deadline of March 1. A minimum undergraduate Grade Point Average of 3.0 is required for all applicants. GRE scores are not required!.
On behalf of the Roswell Park faculty, students and staff, I send best wishes as you pursue a career in biomedical science!
