The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is a nationally recognized leader in the education of osteopathic primary care physicians. OU-HCOM was created in 1975 to help alleviate the state’s growing shortage of family physicians and to train doctors for chronically underserved areas. OU-HCOM is one college but has three locations in Ohio.  Our students are connected to each other everyday via a sophisticated video conferencing system, so every student on every campus has the same educational experience and curriculum.
